Selection Guide
A car fault diagnostic program is not a standalone product that works on all vehicles by itself. The software must match the compatible tablet or VCI hardware, account, and license model. Fault code reading, full system scanning, live data, active tests, and service functions are not the same scope; the intended operation, vehicle brand, model, year, and control unit must be checked together.
Selection Guide
In some new vehicles, the security gateway limits the fault diagnostic device's access to write and service operations. For compatible Launch devices, the correct SGW license is selected based on vehicle group, duration or token scope, and activation account. Fiat/FCA, Volkswagen Group, Renault, Mercedes, and IVECO options are not interchangeable; the scope on the product card must be verified together with the device to be used.
